Clinical Uses
The Gracey 9/10 is designed for the buccal and lingual surfaces of posterior teeth
- Subgingival calculus removal on the buccal and lingual surfaces of premolars and molars, designed with a more pronounced blade angulation than the 7/8, making it particularly effective in deeper pockets and more challenging posterior sites
- Root planing and debridement to thoroughly smooth root surfaces, remove bacterial endotoxins, and create the clean environment essential for periodontal tissue healing
- Deep pocket instrumentation — the blade design allows confident access to deeper periodontal pockets in posterior regions where access is limited
